This white floating canvas frame is prefect for stretched canvas art that is 1-1/2" thick or less. This contemporary white floater frame is a Minimalist-Modernist marvel. The clean lines and complete lack of color allows the shape to be purely defined by shadows and light. A symbol of purity, this contemporary minimalist wood floater frame is ideal with pastel colors on canvas, black & white giclée prints on canvas, and color field paintings where the entire focus is a vast expanse of color. Clean and crisp color photography is also a good pairing with this frame.
The face of the profile on this minimalist white floating canvas frame is 3/8” wide, and the profile will accommodate stretched canvases and panel paintings up to 1-1/2” deep. The white finish sits on a white gesso base over a wood substrate.
It’s important to realize that floater frames are not a viable option for matted works; their only function is to float a single object rather than multiple layers. Items that may be framed in this contemporary white floater frame include original fine art paintings on stretched canvas, paintings on canvas boards, paintings on rigid hardboard panel, laminated prints that are mounted to a rigid substrate like gatorboard, and giclée prints on canvas that are stretched on stretcher bars.
