This dark espresso plank-style wood picture frame features five strips of wood that are glued together and then sandblasted for a unique look reminiscent of rough-sawn lumber. The finish is a dark espresso, with light brown highlights on ridges of the grain. The profile width is 4”, and the rabbet depth is 9/16”.
This frame is quite substantial. Large decorative posters with a vintage cabin theme or images that portray the late 19th and early 20th century logging industry would do well in this frame, as well as wildlife and nature art, from mountain landscapes and trickling streams, to deer, elk, and black bear motifs.
An excellent use of this espresso colored wood picture frame would be in framing menu boards, indoor signage, or beveled mirrors for a food service business, from eclectic upscale bars to cafes, coffee shops, and family restaurants or pizza parlors. If your family owns a trendy and hip service business or retail boutique, consider this substantial frame to command attention to the items within the frame.
For works on paper, you might consider adding a mat around your art; however, the vast expanse of this plank-style frame might mean that a mat is visually unnecessary. For instances where a mat is desired, consider colors from our acid free archival selection such as Black Forest 9823, Coffee Bean 9842, Mocha Green 9826, Black Belt 9632, Peat Moss 9611, Top Soil 9591, and Fresh Brew 9590.
