Please be aware that this moulding has markings that make it look distressed. We have sold 1000's of frames using this moulding but there are some customers that feel like the markings are flaws and unsightly.
This black wall picture frame offers a voluptuous curved peak along the outer edge of the profile, with a near-black finish on a flat inner section. The profile width is 1-3/4” and the rabbet depth is 1”, ideal for both matted works on paper and stretched canvas paintings.
The inspiration for this charcoal black wall picture frame comes from the classic Hudson River School of classic American painters. Imagine a dark rushing river by Thomas Moran, or a grandiose lake view by Albert Bierstadt.
Of course, the relatively smooth finish of this charcoal gray picture frame also applies to more contemporary artworks. Line drawings, charcoal, Sumi ink wash paintings, etchings, and watercolors may all work nicely in this charcoal gray and black wood picture frame.
