Ideal floater frame for art 1 1/2" thick or less. This black canvas floater frame profile offers a unique design variation to the standard geometric L profile of traditional floater frames. Instead of a flat outer wall, this moulding profile features a voluptuous convex curve leading the eye inward toward the face of the frame, with a perpendicular wood grain pattern that reinforces the visual direction toward the art. The black grain finish is a veneer over a wood substrate.
For additional presentation options, this floater may be used to float thin panels, mounted photographs, or acrylic face mounts. When floating items that are less than 1 ½” in depth, we provide you the appropriate material so that you art is just below the top of the frame.
Consider this floater frame for black & white photography, metallic prints on aluminum, and any project where an innovative, non-traditional presentation is desired, such as for digital art prints. Of course, original paintings on canvas are also appropriate, including oil paintings, acrylic paintings, mixed media, or perhaps encaustic wax panels, and other such kinds of art.
