This floating frame is black. It's designed for art that is 3/4" inch thick or less. Smooth black wood floating frame is exclusive to our business. We designed this profile with a thick base to add structural integrity to the joints, and we have eliminated the second step found on similar-sized profiles, as we have found no relevant or practical value to a second step profile design.
This floating frame profile is 7/8” deep. It accommodates original fine art on canvas or panels that are ¾ inch thick or less. Encaustic paintings on plywood and thick impasto paintings on canvas or panel are especially aided by the design of this smooth black wood floater frame.
Additionally, consider this floating frame if you are printing digital art on canvas. Use it whether you’re framing photography, digital renderings and abstract art, or reproducing original art onto canvas. Before stretching your digital prints on canvas, remember that the edges of your canvas will be visible from the front.
Therefore, you may want to digitally color the border around your art to your liking, and staple the canvas to the back rather than the side of the stretcher bar in order to achieve a clean look for giclee prints on canvas when paired with floater frames such as this new Web Picture Frames exclusive.
