This mottled bronze and gold picture frame features a slight leafing pattern across a flat body shape, and edges that are textured to simulate age. The inner lip has a deckled edge relief, and the outer edge features a mottled bevel that drops off to a black sidewall. The profile width is 2 3/16”, and the rabbet depth is 5/8”.
The look of this mottled bronze and gold picture frame is certainly antique or vintage if not medieval, but the smooth profile shape also allows this frame to be applied to more contemporary items such as wedding portraits, beveled mirrors, and mid century modern art.
Due to the width of this mottled bronze and gold picture frame, medium and large framed art is an excellent pairing with this frame, although small 8x10 portraits might equally work in this frame.
